Special Day for a Special Man

Happy Anniversary to my wonderful darling, Mr Posh.

15 years today, who'd have thought it eh Babe?

Part of me still can't believe it has been 15 years already, but at the same time it feels like you have been a big part of my life forever, does that sound weird? It is so hard to remember what life was like before you came along. One thing is for sure it was no where near as good as it is now, you have made my life complete Babe and I can honestly say, with my hand on my heart, that the last 15 years have been the best 15 years of my life.

Photobucket Today is also your birthday,
You are still as sexy as the day we met ... But then you already knew that.
I hope you have a wonderful Birthday Babe,
I love you more than words can say, but I will show you how much later ;O) hehe!!

All my love forever and ever
Yours Always
Posh Totty Xxxx

Let It Snow

It is no secret, anyone who has spoken to me in person, on the phone, by text, on Facebook, Twitter or any other means of communication will know only too well how much I have been willing it to snow.

No I have not completely lost the plot, I have all my marbles fully intact and I still genuinely want it to snow and not the usual light dusting we get either, no I want heavy snow, thick, deep, proper, Crisp, white snow, You know, the kind that lasts for weeks.

Over the past few weeks I have got excited a few times when I have seen snow flakes pop up on my local weather forecast, but have been left disappointed when I look out the window and see nothing more than rain.

You are probably wondering where this slight snow obsession has come from, so let me explain my dire need for the white stuff.

Last winter, we were lucky to have months of heavy snow, here in the UK it is so rare for such a thing to happen so no one is ever prepared for it so when it does the whole country grinds to a halt and the majority of people moan endlessly about it. But not me, I love it, I think the atmosphere on the snowy streets with excited children playing together in the empty snow filled roads is simply magical and it somehow seems to bring the community together, something we do not get to see any other time around these parts.

Last years snow fall caught me off guard, I was not at all prepared for it, I had kitted my Little Man out ready for Arctic conditions as I do every year, with thermals, bulky coats, hats, gloves and boots, but when it came to myself I had nothing more than my normal clothes and a pair of old trainers to wear to trudge through the snowy streets. I was constantly wet and freezing cold. Despite this, I still enjoyed it, I might add. Even if my fingers and toes were blue and on the verge of falling off ;o)

Also we tried in vain to buy Little Man a sledge, every child seemed to have one to play on apart from my Little Man and every shop with in a hundred mile radius had totally sold out. Little Man (and I) was totally gutted and although our make shift tea tray sledge was good, it wasn't quite the same as having a brightly coloured sledge to play on.

So in October last year when I heard on multiple news and weather channels that the UK was heading for a long, cold, snowy winter again, I decided to get prepared so we were ready.

Mr Posh, bought me a fabulous pair of fur lined snow boots for my birthday so no more cold, wet feet for me. I treated myself to new hats, gloves, scarves and stocked up on warm woolly jumpers, I even for the first time ever, bought myself thermals to wear under my clothes the same as I do for my Little Man. On top of that Mr Posh and I bought Little Man a very posh, new, bright blue sledge, which I must confess we are all dying to go out and play on.

Typically enough we have had a weirdly mild winter and as yet not a single snow flake in sight.

So Mr UK Weatherman, please please send lots of heavy snow to our corner of the UK, either that or stop bloody teasing us and just cut the crap and send us a proper heat wave instead.

Puppy Dog Tales

Once upon a time, there lived a happy two and a half year old Cocker Spaniel, she had always been a loyal owner to a Posh family of human pets.

One Sunday afternoon in mid January, the Posh pup decided to take her humans for a nice day out, So they headed off into the countryside, admiring the beautiful scenery as they walked.

They headed towards a pretty little brook which ran along side some fields. The posh pup thought this would be a good place to explore so pointed her humans in the right direction.

Once in the fields, the Posh Pup decided she needed a change of image, she no longer wanted to be clean, she no longer desired to smell nice and she was feeling the need to rid herself of her shiny, well groomed coat. She didn't think long or hard about her decision either and before she knew what she was doing, much to the surprise of her humans, she had taken a running leap right into the freezing cold, dirty water of the brook. Once in the brook and thoroughly soaked from head to tail, the Posh pup leaped out of the brook, dripping wet and proceeded to roll in the wettest, muddiest field she could find. Oh she did have such fun.

Unfortunately for the Posh Pup, the human pets did not like her new image, they were worried that she would decide to re-decorate the insides of the family home to match, so they decided to take action against her. So on returning home from their lovely walk, they ran a bath and with out warning dumped the wet, smelly, muddy pooch into the warm water, they then proceeded to wash her with sweet smelling doggy shampoo and before she had chance to object, she was once again dripping wet, only this time, clean, shiny and sweet smelling.

The Posh Pup was NOT IMPRESSED!!!!

In fact the human pets were non too impressed either when they saw the state of the bath tub. Somehow the Posh Pup had managed to reap a revenge attack for the unwanted clean up operation and had transferred all the dirt and unwanted hair that she had been collecting in her coat into the torture chamber that she had previously been exposed to.

Photobucket

The Posh Pup was smugly satisfied that she had done what she needed to do and set about drying her now clean, sweet smelling, shiny, well groomed coat in front of the fire. Although still refusing to look at or acknowledge her human pets.

Photobucket

The Posh Pup's stubborn strop didn't last long, she soon forgot all about her traumatic ordeal when her human pet's popped open the lid of the biscuit tin.

I am still alive

After receiving an email from a concerned fellow blogger, who has asked not to be named, asking me if I was still alive I figured it was a subtle hint that my blog has been neglected so here I am larger than life and full of beans ... well not literally, I actually don't like beans, but you know what I mean.

I hold my hands up and confess I have been incredibly bad at blogging recently, but I can promise you I have had some damn good excuses, unfortunately for you, not the type of things I am going to blog about though, so you will just have to trust me on that one and take my word for it.

Lets just say, life has been a bit rough lately, I have not only not had much to say I have also had no time to say it. but finally there is a glimmer of light at the end of a very long and dark tunnel and I am beginning to see a way forward for the first time in ages.

I won't bore you with the nitty gritty, trust me, you really don't want to know.

I don't actually have anything to blog about today, I just wanted to confirm that I am still alive and kicking and Ummm errr ... See!!! now I have run out of things to say.

I will try harder to blog more often, one of my new years resolutions was blog more this year and so far I am failing miserably. I don't like failing, its not in my nature.
